Nicole Glenn Photography Blog bio picture

I am a scientist by day and a photographer by night. Follow my journey as I juggle pipettes and lenses in this crazy thing I call life.

Here you will find my most recent work and, if you're lucky, my personal ramblings about Cooper, my love of blueberry muffins, and videos of me dancing. Please contain your excitement. :)

This is the life I love.

ED + CHERIANN | ENGAGEMENT

Huntington Beach. First dates, planned first kisses and an engagement. To say Huntington holds a few memories for Cheriann and Ed would be an understatement. Their love is simple, yet abundant. He makes her laugh and she makes him comfortable. They just work, like peanut butter and jelly…errr fudge and Oreos. Documenting their love was a breeze…

Sam and Holly met on a Surfliner. It may be a long story about how their first date happened, but inevitable, the train brought them together. Forever. Sam incorporated the train into his proposal and it was so wonderful to document their love where it all started. Their love is quiet, strong, and assuring. And amongst the haste and stress of planning a wedding, you can still sense the undertows of calm that they supply each other. Not to mention, they are rebels and up for anything! Apparently, shooting on the train platform is trespassing. Who knew??

Sam and Holly, thank you for being so wonderful. I absolutely adore your love for each other. Sunday was amazing, and I am so excited to shoot your wedding next year! I promise we won’t be arrested for trespassing on your wedding day. I think I hear America’s Next Top Model calling…

DAVID + SYLVIA | ENGAGEMENT

You are probably thinking they look familiar, and well, you are right! I took engagement pictures for Sylvia and David almost a year ago and here we are again. Originally, I was apart or Sylvia’s bridal party and, depending on who you talk to, was promoted/demoted?? to their photographer. In any case, I am beyond excited to document their wedding this August in the ever beautiful San Diego.

I offer complimentary engagement sessions with all wedding collections, and since it’s been a year, we decided to meet up again. It’s interesting to see how their love has grown and the evolution of my ’style’. We were blessed yesterday, (yes yesterday, December 27th) with the most glorious sunlight. August has a lot to live up to!

Sylvia and David, words can’t explain how much I adore you. I’m so honored to be your bridesmaid-ographer, but mainly that I can call you friends. Yesterday was AH-MAZ-ING and I imagine your big day can only be better! I can’t wait!!

Thanks for stopping by!

David and Sylvia | Engagement

I was so excited when David emailed me asking if I could take engagement pictures for him and my good friend Sylvia. I was even more excited when we were all in town at the same time. Yes, staying longer than 48 hours has it’s perks David!

They met while studying at Cornell University and have been best friends for the past 6 (almost 7!) years. Their love is honest, quiet, and true. You can feel it in their presence. Hopefully these pictures convey just that.

I love these gnarly trees…

Love, love, love…Sylvia’s smile is as warm as the Cali sun. True story. My favorite…I seriously can’t believe the weather last weekend. California is blessed with the most beautiful ‘winter’ light.Ok, seriously? How do you guys get to be so good looking??!The SDC.

David and Sylvia, thank you for allowing me to document this moment in your lives. I am so honored to call you both friends. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. Did I convince anyone to move to California? Anyone? I heart you two!!

Warmly,

Nicole
