Nicole Glenn Photography Blog bio picture

I am a scientist by day and a photographer by night. Follow my journey as I juggle pipettes and lenses in this crazy thing I call life.

Here you will find my most recent work and, if you're lucky, my personal ramblings about Cooper, my love of blueberry muffins, and videos of me dancing. Please contain your excitement. :)

This is the life I love.

Lu Family | Portraits

I met up earlier this week with the Lu family to squeeze in one last session for 2009. The weather is still sunny, but the air is crisp and cool. The kids played and ran with the excitement of Santa’s pending arrival. It was such a treat to document the Lu family at their lovely home, especially when you mix in cookies! Definitely one of the more caloric sessions to date. Meet the Lu family!

Such a beautiful family…A private Christmas concert. What a rock star! She has the sweetest smile!Congrats on celebrating TEN years! I wish you many more years of laughter, love, and warm memories!Simply beautiful! So proud of that missing tooth! After shooting outside, we headed to the kitchen to bake cookies! I wish everyday ended with baking cookies. With me watching and tasting, hehe.

Thanks for a fabulous afternoon and dinner. It was truly a pleasure documenting your love. Reading breaks, burnt fingers and all.

I hope Christmas treated you well!

Warmly,

Nicole

On the Road | Central Coast

I love traditions. They are wonderful to look forward to, like a warm fire on a rainy day. This time of the year my family and I head up the coast to visit Art’s family. Lucky for us they live in one of my (now) favorite places, where the scenery is almost as wonderful as the company. Here are a few images from the past week.

The view from our hotel room in the morning. So awesome!Central_Coast_1Slipping in a few macro shots to make up for the past two weeks!Central_Coast_2I LOVE Montaña de Oro State Park. It is a well hidden gem of the Central Coast. If you are heading up the coast, definitely stop by, it is worth the trip. Promise.Central_Coast_3

To the Hauenstein’s, thanks for a fabulous trip. Seeing your faces always warms my heart! And yes, our belly’s are still full!

Lately | Cookies and Christmas

I love this time of year. I just do. It might be the sweaters, Christmas cookies, extra family time, and my chocolate advent calendar that make this time of year extra wonderful, but I love it. Before the Help Portrait event on Saturday, I spent some time at my parent’s house decorating cookies, ok, eating cookies and admiring the Christmas decor that I love so dearly…DSC_0227DSC_0233A little of this and a little of that…DSC_0252…leads to this!DSC_0258Under a watchful eye, of course…DSC_0239

Thursday we leave for our annual trip to the central coast and I couldn’t be more excited. It will be really nice to sneak away for a few days.

I hope December is treating you well. Can you believe the decade is almost over???
